Blessed Eurosia Fabris (1866–1932), affectionately known as "Mamma Rosa," was an Italian laywoman celebrated for her deep faith, charity, and dedication to family life. Born on September 27, 1866, in Quinto Vicentino, Italy, she moved with her family to Marola at the age of four, where she resided for the remainder of her life. Due to family responsibilities, she left formal schooling after two years but continued her education through religious texts. At twelve, she received her First Holy Communion and joined the Association of the Daughters of Mary, actively participating in parish life by teaching catechism and sewing to local girls. Her early life was marked by a strong devotion to the Holy Spirit, the Eucharist, and the Virgin Mary.
In 1885, Eurosia began caring for two young girls who had lost their mother, and in 1886, she married their father, Carlo Barban, adopting the children and later giving birth to nine more. Her home became a haven for many, including orphans of World War I, reflecting her boundless compassion. Despite financial hardships, she managed her household with grace, instilling Christian virtues in her children, three of whom became priests. Known for her humility and charity, she joined the Secular Franciscan Order in 1916, embodying its principles in her daily life.
Eurosia passed away on January 8, 1932, after a life devoted to faith and service. Her cause for beatification began in 1975, and she was declared Venerable in 2003. She was beatified on November 6, 2005.
